Markleeville Mural Donation
While finishing the mural in Gardnerville Nevada I had an unexpected change in my schedule for my California location. That's where Rachel and her husband come in! I met them by happenstance, connected with Cutthroat, and had the chance to fall in love with Markleeville.
SOME HOW! They were able to help me get the location and mural scheduled within a week.
The piece is inspired by the view from Hangman's Bridge just down 89. I wanted to capture the landscape as full of life & full of hope, as I learned about the tough few years Markleeville and the Cutthroat restaurant have been through - Fires, Covid, and Mudslides.
I especially wanted to highlight the role that travelers (& bikers) play in this town and within the business. I hope you enjoy the piece!
Because of the quick turn-around and circumstance of this location, this mural was completed for donation. Thank you for considering a donation or purchasing a sticker (or Venmo : @ReneeArts)
